SINCOLA: Started in Austin, Texas in October of 1992 by guitarist Kris Patterson. Played first show in January, 1993.
SINCOLA: Released CD EP "Sincola" on independent label Rise Records in 1993. Won "Best EP" Austin Chronicle Music Awards 1994.
SINCOLA: Seen by New York based label Caroline Records at SXSW 1994. Signed with Caroline that summer.
SINCOLA: Recorded "What the Nothinghead Said" September 1994. Released February, 1995. Won "Best Punk/Alternative Band" Austin Chronicle Music Poll 1995.
SINCOLA: Recorded follow-up album "Crash Landing in Teen Heaven" in fall of 1995. Released in May, 1996.
SINCOLA An all-female trio with an all-male duo. Guitar/backing vocals - Kris Patterson; guitarist Wendel Stivers; vocalist Rebecca Cannon; bass/backing vocals - Chepo Pena; and drummer/backing vocals - Terri Lord.
